Mr. DeShazo is Chairman Emeritus at DeShazo Group and has a great deal of experience in dealing with a wide variety of projects in the urban area. He works with the firm’s engineers in developing the optimal traffic, transportation and parking solution to meet a project’s needs. Frequently he will interface with public agencies including City of Dallas, DART, TxDOT and others on behalf of a client.

Mr. DeShazo’s perspective on how to make significant urban projects work has been forged from thirty-five years in the private sector and twenty-five years in the public sector including nine years as Director of the Department of Traffic Control for the City of Dallas. He has been involved with numerous significant clients including: UT Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Hospital, Texas A&M University, NorthPark Center, The Dallas Galleria, Mockingbird Station, The Crescent®, The Dallas Arts District, Fair Park, Baylor University Medical Center and many others. 

In 2004, he was only the 73rd person to receive an Honorary Membership in the Institute of Transportation Engineers, a global organization.
