BIKEWAY TRAIL DEVELOPMENT
The development of bicycle trails
has become an important part of many cities' recreational and
transportation planning. DeShazo, Tang & Associates, Inc. has
played a major role in providing safe, easy-to-follow paths. Our
contribution has entailed traffic studies where the proposed alignment
intersected existing at-grade roadways.
DT&A collects traffic data, inventories
existing traffic control devices, evaluates pavement surface conditions,
examines street illumination, and considers sight distance for
motorized and non-motorized traffic. We then make recommendations
to improve any deficiencies. The firm also develops traffic control
