Feasibility studies are performed to determine if a project would be a good investment -- whether the cost incurred could be recovered; and how long before a profit would be realized; if the community could support the project, etc. For a proposed garage development, data regarding the surrounding parking supply, parking rates and hours of local business operation, present and future parking generators, zoning and development restrictions, physical constraints, access routes and their capacity constraints are crucial elements in estimating the anticipated revenue and the economic feasibility of the project. This data is incorporated into traffic or parking studies, economic reports, or other analytical analyses.
