TRANSIT STATION DESIGN

DeShazo, Tang & Associates, Inc. has been involved with the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system since its inception in the early 1980s. Our involvement included the design of the traffic elements of transit station design. This included parking layouts, bus circulation and bays, kiss-n-ride demand and design, pedestrian access to the platform, and access to and from the roadways serving the station. DeShazo, Tang & Associates, Inc. has had an active role in the design of every station on the starter system. These designs have been tested and proven successful all across the DART service area.
