Denton, Texas

DeShazo, Tang & Associates, Inc. provided professional transportation engineering services to assist the client with the traffic and parking elements of Texas Women's University. The access and circulation systems were reviewed with regard to the safe, convenient and efficient movement of people, vehicles and the use of facilities. The geometry of the entry roadways and the configuration of the areas in advance of the key intersections were studied for efficiency of operation and design. The adequacy of the roadway system within the campus was considered. Particular attention was focused on Bell Street, the city street which traversed the campus. DT&A then determined the current and future parking needs. It developed a plan for addressing the parking deficiencies.
