Addison Circle
Addison Texas

Addison Circle is a signature, new urban community being developed in the heart of Dallas' densest suburb. Aside from numerous businesses, employees, and community patrons, this development will attract to the area, it is anticipated that nearly 6,000 residents will be drawn to the community. DT&A was contracted to study the effects of a roundabout for the development. The roundabout will facilitate a greater capacity and efficiency in the traffic flow, decrease the impact the development will have on the town itself, and provide a higher degree of vehicular safety. The firm assessed the feasibility of constructing an at-grade crossing off the Cotton Belt rail line (which will run alongside the Circle's southern boundary) and extending Spectrum Drive, which will soon be one of the major north/south streets bisecting Addison Circle.

In addition, different parking management strategies -- such as valet parking, rideshare programs, and transit usage -- were considered as part of a shared parking study performed by DT&A. These strategies would decrease the parking demand for the retail, office, and cultural uses for Addison Circle.
